Seamona Design ("Seamona", "we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have — whether you are visiting or shopping with us from the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, or anywhere else in the world.

1. What We Collect

•      Identity & contact data: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address.

•      Order & support data: purchases, returns, communications.

•      Website usage & cookies: device and browser information, IP address, pages viewed, and on-site interactions, collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).

•      Payment data: processed by Adyen. We do not store your full card details.

•      Favorites / Wishlist data (coming soon): once we launch our Favorites feature, we will store the products you save, linked to your account or device, so you can find them again on your next visit. We will update this Policy with the specific details once this feature is live.

2. How We Collect

•      Directly from you (checkout, account signup, contact forms, in-store).

•      Automatically via cookies and similar technologies, for analytics, advertising, and personalisation (see Section 6).

•      Through your interaction with embedded content on our site, such as YouTube videos.

3. Why We Use Your Data (Lawful Purposes)

•      To process and fulfil orders, deliveries, and returns.

•      To provide customer support and service updates.

•      To personalise your experience and improve our site and products.

•      Marketing with your consent (emails, offers). You can withdraw consent at any time.

•      Fraud prevention and compliance with applicable laws.

4. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with essential service providers acting on our instructions, such as:

•      Payment processing: Adyen.

•      Delivery & logistics partners: including couriers such as DHL and Aramex.

•      E-commerce platform: Shopify, which hosts our store and processes data needed to operate it.

•      Analytics & advertising tools: Google (Google Analytics, Google Ads), Meta (Facebook/Instagram advertising), and YouTube (Google), used for site analytics and advertising measurement.

These providers are bound by confidentiality and security obligations. Card details are encrypted and handled directly by the payment gateway.

5. International Data Transfers

As a UAE-based business, we primarily store and manage your data from the UAE. However, because we rely on international service providers to run our website and services — including Shopify (hosting), Adyen (payments), Google (Analytics, Ads, YouTube), and Meta (advertising) — some personal data is transferred to, and processed in, other countries, which may include locations outside the UAE.

Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE, Turkish, and other applicable data protection laws — including relying on providers who maintain their own recognised safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms) for cross-border data transfers.

6. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our site, remember your preferences, analyse how our site is used, and — where you consent — show you relevant advertising. Cookies generally fall into these categories:

•      Essential cookies: required for core functions such as your shopping cart and checkout. The site cannot function properly without these.

•      Performance & analytics cookies: help us understand how visitors use our site, e.g. via Google Analytics.

•      Functionality cookies: remember your preferences, such as language, currency, and — once launched — items saved to your Favorites/Wishlist.

•      Advertising / targeting cookies: used by Google Ads and Meta Pixel to measure and personalise the ads you see, on our site and elsewhere.

7. Marketing & Opt-Out

You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in our emails or emailing info@seamonadesign.com.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above and to meet legal, tax, or accounting requirements. Order records are typically retained for up to 6 years unless a longer period is required by law.

9. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards — including SSL encryption, secure servers, access controls, and staff awareness measures — to protect your personal data.

10. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, your rights may arise under the UAE’s Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data, Turkey’s Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), or other applicable data protection law. Subject to those laws, you may request:

•      Access to the personal data we hold about you;

•      Correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;

•      Deletion (where legally permissible) or restriction of processing;

•      Withdrawal of consent for marketing at any time.

11. Data Breaches

If a personal data breach occurs that risks your privacy, we will take appropriate remedial steps and, where required by applicable law, notify you and the competent authority without undue delay.

12. Children’s Privacy

We do not target, or knowingly collect data from, persons under 18. If we learn that we hold such data, we will delete it promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page with the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice before they take effect.
